CAMP CONSENSUS

Welcome to the Klimacamp – we’re happy to welcome you! Please take a few minutes to read this consensus so everyone can feel comfortable at the camp. This way we see our coexistence as part of a social-ecological transformation for a more livable world.

1. No discrimination

We live in a system that reproduces discrimination. At the camp we try to break it down – whether racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, classism or religious discrimination. Everyone should feel safe and respected.

2. Words can hurt too

Get a name and pronoun tag at the info desk. Don’t assume someone’s gender or origin based on appearance. Educate yourself – the Care Team is there to support you. This way, the burden of explanation doesn’t fall always on marginalized people.

3. Legal, family-friendly & open

The Klimacamp is legally registered with the municipality of Latsch and is family-friendly. We also strive to make it more accessible for sans-papiers.

4. No photos without consent

Please take pictures of the camp only – of People only with explicit permission.

5. Physical contact requires consent

Boundaries are personal. Always ask before hugging or touching someone.

6. Openness

We all come from different cultural and social backgrounds. If conflicts arise, engage in dialogue and try to learn from each other. The Care Team can help if needed.

7. Collectivity & anti-capitalism

The camp is based on volunteer work and donations, not profit. If you’re financially secure, please follow the donation recommendation. Respect common structures and shared goods.

8. Nature & animals

The camp is not just about humans: plants, animals and the environment deserve respect too. The Food on the camp is vegan. Remember you are part of an ecosystem: keep noise down and use the camp toilets.

9. Alcohol, other legal drugs & dogs

We don’t sell alcohol or other legal drugs. If you consume, please ask those around you if it’s okay for them. The Sleeping, kids, tea and care areas are drug- and dog-free. Dogs are welcome if you take responsibility.

10. We are the camp

For the camp to work, it needs all of us: sign up for shifts, help keep things clean and respect quiet zones.

Thanks for reading the consensus! By doing so, we show that we act on shared values and care for each other. Together we create not just a camp, but a movement!
